if principle is 100 then
 S.I = P*R*T / 100
      = 100 * 5 * 2 / 100
       = 10
amount = 100 + 10
             =  110

                                     principal                         amount

                                        100                                 110
                                          x                                  44000

                                         =  44000* 100/ 110
                                         =  40,000
   therefore principal is 40,000 now we have to find the amount for 3 yrs and same rate of intrest

                                   =  40000* 5 * 3 / 100
                                    =  6000
and amount = 40000+ 6000
                     = 46000
