Let boys = x

Girls = 2/3 * x = 2x/3

Total students = 280

Boys + girls = 280

x + 2x/3 = 280

5x/3 = 280

5x = 840

x = 840/5

x = 168

Boys = 168

Girls = 280 - boys = 280 -168 = 112

girls = 112
