"Answer: After two years the certain amount is 2800. So we consider as the initial amount stating at the beginning of the 3rd year.

2800 becomes 3250 in 5 years

Therefore the interest earned for the balance three years = 3250-2800 = 450/-

So simple interest for one year is 450/3 = 150/-

The rate of interest = (150/2800) X 100 = 5.357%

Answer:

Explanation:

difference of 5 year=3250 rs

2 year =2800 rs

----------------------------

3year intrest = 450rs (3250-2800)

1year intrst= 150rs (450/3)

2year intrest=300rs

principal=2800-300=2500rs

SI=(P×R×T)/100

300=(2500×R×2)/100

R=300×100/2500×2=6%

Rate=6%.
