Here given radius =28cm
Required area = area of the major sector - area of the right triangle
=(x/360×pi×r^2)-r^/2
=(270/360×22/7×28×28)-(28×28)/2
=(28×28)/2[33/7-1]
=(28×14)[(33-7)/7]
=(28×14×26)/7
=28×2×26
=1456sqcm
