If a constant force of 800 N produces an acceleration of 5 m/s square in body, what is its mass? If body starts from rest, how much distance will it travels in 10 sec?

From Newton's second law, we know that :-

F = ma

Here, we are given that,

F = 800 N

a = 5m/s²

So let's put the known values in equation, we get

800 = 5m

=> m = 800/5

=> m = 160 kg.

Now, in second case given that :-

u = 0 m/s (since the body starts from rest)
a = 5 m/s² (given above)
t = 10 seconds

So by applying the second equation of motion :-
s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} at {}^{2}

We get,

s = 0 \times 10 +  \frac{1}{2}  \times 5 \times  {10}^{2}  \\  \\  =  > s =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 5 \times 100 \\  \\  =  > s = 250

So the distance travelled is 250 m

Hope it helps dear friend ☺️
