Given : a cube of volume V cubic units is completely opened up,

To Find : what is the area of the surface (in sq units) it will cover on a floor

Solution:

Volume of cube = edge length³

=>  edge length³ = V

=>  edge length = ∛V

area of the surface  it will cover on a floor  = Total Surface area of cube

Total Surface area of cube = 6 ( edge length )²

= 6 (∛V)²

= 6V^{\frac{2}{3} } sq units
