AnswEr :

  • Current = 1.6 A
  • Time = 2s

Quantisation of charge : According to it, electrons can be transferred only in whole number ratios. Formula for quantisation of charge is : Q = ±ne

\longrightarrow \tt{I\ =\ \dfrac{Q}{t}} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \tt{1.6\ =\ \dfrac{Q}{2}} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \tt{Q\ =\ 1.6\ \times\ 2} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \underline{\boxed{\frak{Q\ =\ 3.2\ C}}}

Now, we've to calculate no of electrons passing through wire (using formula for quantisation of charges)

\longrightarrow \tt{Q\ =\ \pm ne} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \tt{n\ =\ \dfrac{Q}{e}} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \tt{n\ =\ \dfrac{3.2}{1.6\  \times\ 10^{-19}}} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \tt{n\ =\ \dfrac{3.2\ \times\ 10^{19}}{1.6}} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \underline{\boxed{\frak{n\ =\ 2\ \times\ 10^{19}\ e}}}
