Given :

▪ Current flow theough conductor = 3A

▪ Time interval = 10min

To Find :

▪ Amount of charge flow through conductor.

Concept :

↗ Current is defined as the rate of charge flow per unit time.

↗ It is a scalar quantity.

↗ It has only magnitude.

↗ SI unit : A (ampere)

Mathematically,

  • I = Q / t

Where,

I denotes current

Q denotes charge

t denotes time

Conversion :

⭐ 1min = 60s

⭐ 10min = 10×60 = 600s

Calculation :

→ I = Q / t

→ Q = I × t

→ Q = 3 × 600

Q = 1800C

Answer:

YOUR QUESTION :

If a current of 3 Amper flows through a conductor for 10 minutes then calculate the amount of charges that flows through conductor in that time.

SOLUTION :

Given :

Current flow through conductor = 3A.

Time interval = 10 min.

To find :

  • Amount of change flow through conductor

Concept :

  • SI Unit = A (ampere)

Mathematically,

  • I = Q / t

Conversion :

  • 1min = 60sec.
  • 10min = 60×10sec = 600sec.

Calculation :

I = Q / t

=> Q = I / t

=> Q = 3 × 600

=> Q = 1800c
