Answer:

Given :

Radius =R=120m

Time=T=60 sec

As the object covers half revolution of circle, so the displacement till be the diameter of the circle.

Displacement is the shortest path between source and the destination.

Average Velocity=Displacement/ Time

=2R/T

=2x120/60

=4m/s

∴Average velocity= 4m/s

Hey.

\bf\pink{Time t = 1 min = 60 s}

  • radius of the path = 120 m

  • As circumference= 2πr

so, circumference= 2×3.14×120 m

= 753.6 m

As he takes 60 s to complete half revolution

so, distance covered ,d = 753.6/2 = 376.8 m

⟹ ✍So, average speed = d/t

= 376.8/60

= 6.28 m/s

But as displacement =Diameter= 2×120 = 240m

and avg. velocity = displacement /time

so, avg. velocity = 240/60 = 4 m/s

Thanks
