Here take the intrest first 240rs in 2 years

It means that 240  in 24 months.

So on one month the intrest will be 240/24=10

Like intrest of 10 rs is provided in one month on price of 2000..

Here will calculate the percentage of 10 of 2000

The percentage will be 0.5

Now coming to the next step

5000 at the rate of 0.5 percent it will be 25  

Hence 25 rs of intrest in one month

So in 24 months the intrest will be 25*24= 600

Here is the answer 600 will be intrest on 5000 of money deposited for 2 years
