if a dice thrown twice then what is the probability of getting a doublet?

P(E) = Number of favourable outcomes/ Total number of outcomes


Here, No. of outcomes (doublets) = (1,1), (2,2), (3,3), (4,4), (5,5), (6,6) = 6 outcomes
Total no. of outcomes = 36

Therefore, P(getting a doublet) = 6/36= 1/6

6/36..=1/6
doublet is appearance of same no. on top of both dice..ie(2,2)(1,1)(3,3)(4,4)(5,5)(6,6)..
