total outcomes = 6

Sample space ={1,2,3,4,5,6}

n(S) = 6

let A = event of getting an even number
= { 2,4,6}

n(A) = 3

let B = event of getting an odd number
= {1,3,5}

probability of getting even number

= n(A)/n(S)
= 3/6
=1/2

probability of getting odd number

= n(B)/n(S)
= 3/6
=1/2
