The upthrust on the diver will be 500N.

GIVEN

Mass of the diver - 500N

TO FIND

Upthrust on the diver.

SOLUTION:

We know that,

Upthrust is the the force exerted by a fluid on an object in an upward direction.

Since,

upthrust = weight of the liquid displaced by the submerged part of the body

SO,

U = mg (mass of the body and g is acceleration due. to gravity)

we know that,

V = m × d ( v= volume of water displaced and density)

Upthrust , U = 500N

So, The upthrust on the diver will be 500N.
