98m

time always flows in regular manner

not too fast not too slow

total height covered by object in 2sec is 19.6m

so let just take object to a height from where it takes 4seconds to reach the ground

take this total height as x

as you can see in the picture the height from A to C is x-19.6m and from C to E is 19.6m total height is x the for object coming from A to C is same as that of form C to E but it do not cover same distance

so calculate distance from A to C using Newton's second equation of motion for gravity

s=ut+1/2gt²

x-19.6=0*4+1/2*9.8*16

x-19.6=9.8*8

x=98m
