If a few drops of a concentrated acid accidentally spills over the
hand of a student, what should be done?

● What to do if conc. acid spills on hand -

  • First of all, wash your hand with plenty of water. This will cleanup the wound & wash out superficial deposits of acid.
  • Then, apply a paste of NaHCO3 to the wound so that remaining leftout acid gets neutralized. This paste will also sooth the pain.
