If a force of 154 N is applied on a circular surface of radius 14m then find the pressure so exerted.​

  • Force(F) = 154 N
  • Radius(r) of circular surface = 14 m

Tᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Pressure(P)

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Now,

We know that,

Area of Circle = π

πr² = 22/7 × 14 × 14

22 × 2 × 14

44 × 14

616cm²

Hence,

Area of circular surface = 616

Now,

We know that,

 \implies \: \sf Pressure(P) =  \frac{Force(F)}{Area(A)}  \\  \\  \implies \: \sf P =  \frac{F}{A}

On putting above values in it, we get,

 \implies \: \sf P =  \frac{154}{616}  \\  \\ \implies \:  \sf P = 0.25

Hence,

  • Pressure (P) = 0.25 N/m² or Pascal

➧ P=F/A

➧ P = 154/616

➧ P=0.25Pascal

∴The pressure exerted on circular surface is 0.25 Pascal.
