If a force of 200N is exerted on a word is 20pa. Calculate the area of the wall in which the force act perpendicPressure in Liquid:
Liquids exert pressure in all directions
Other important characteristics of liquid pressure are:
1. The pressure at all points at the same level within a liquid is the same.
2. The pressure in a liquid increase in direct proportion to the depth of the liquid
3. The pressure in different liquids at the same depth varies directly with density

Atmospheric Pressure and Application
Atmospheric pressure can be defined as some pressure exerted on the surface of the earth, because its air has a lot of weight.
The atmospheric pressure at sea level is about 105 pa decreasing upwards with weights. We do not feel this atmospheric pressure because every cell of our body maintains an internal pressure that just balances the external pressure.

Application
The following are the applications of atmospheric pressure:
1. Siphone
2. The syringe
3. Bicycle pump
4. Lift pump or common pump
5. Force pump
1. The siphons: Is a device used to remove liquids from receptacles which cannot be lifted or easily reached or emptied more conveniently. Liquids can only be transferred at higher levels to points at lower levels.

2. The Syringe: Is the device consists of a piston which fits tightly into a cylinder.
3. Bicycle pump: This is a compression pump used to compress air from the atmosphere into a bicycle tyre.
4. Lift pump or common pump: A pump is a device that can produce a pressure different.
5. Lift Pump: Is a device for raising water from wells or for lifting kerosene from a tall tank.
6. Force pump: This pump is used when it required to lift water continuously to a height above 10m.

Assignment
Write down the four basic steps in which the pump functions.ular
