If a force of 300 N is applied over an area of 2 cm^2, calculate the pressure produced. (Note: 1 m = 100 cm, when you square it 1 m^2= 100 x 100 cm^2) { pls write steps & class 8 }

GiVeN :-

  • Force = 300N

  • Appled Area = 2 cm2 = 0.0002m2

To FinD :-

  • The Pressure applied on the Area.

SoluTioN :-

The Question is to Find the Pressure

FOrmula UseD :-

 \boxed{ \bold{ \red{★Pressure =  \frac{force}{area} }{} }{} }{}

Since Force = 300N and the area = 0.0002m2

 \bold{ \purple{★Pressure =  \frac{300}{0.0002}  = 1500000pa}{} }{}

Hence Pressure = 1500000 Pascal

More To Know :-

  • When area is small the pressure is High which means that Pressure is inversly propotional to Area

  • When Force is greater pressure is also Greater ie, Pressure is directly propotional to Force acted on the Unit area.
