answer : option (1) Z = 1/2

explanation : compressibility factor is the ratio of molar volume of a gas to molar volume of ideal gas at same temperature and pressure.

i.e., Z = molar volume of gas/molar volume of ideal gas

here, a gas is 2 times compressible than that of ideal gas.

means, molar volume of gas = 1/2 × molar volume of ideal gas , at same temperature and pressure

so, Z = 1/2

hence, option (1) is correct choice.

[ note :- it is also clear theoretically. we know, when Z < 1 , gas is more compressible than ideal gas. here all options except option (1), are greater than 1. therefore option (1) is correct choice. ]
