if a given liquid is stored first in container 1 up to height h and then in container 2 up to height h/2 then find the ratio of P1 and P2 ( where P1 and P2 are the pressures exerted by it at the bottom of the container1 and container 2)

Answer:

2:1

Explanation:

pressure is directly proportional to the height of the liquid stored (P = hdg, h is height , d is dnesity of liquid and g is acceleration due to gravity at that point )

so P1 : P2 = h1:h2 = h : h/2 = 2:1
