solution

Let marks of B = x

Marks of A will be = x + 20% of x = x + 20x/100 = 120x/100

Marks of B are less than A by A-B/A * 100

= {(120x/100 - x) / (120x/100)} * 100

= {(20x/100) / (6x/5)} * 100

= {(x/5) / (6x/5)} * 100

= 5/30 * 100

= 50/3 = 16.66%
