If a height of a triangle is double and base in tripled then it's area become 6 times

Proof :

Let's see this with an example :

Let base = 2 cm

Height = 4 cm

 \bf area =  \frac{1}{2}  \times b  \times h \\  \\ \bf area =  \frac{1}{2} \times 2 \times 4  \\  \\ \bf area = 4 \:  {cm}^{2}

Area when height is doubled and base is triplet

 \bf area =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 6 \times 8 \\  \\  \bf area = 24 \:  {cm}^{2}

New area is 6 times of old area , So when height of triangle is doubled and base is triplet them area becomes 6 times

Answer:

the area of the triangle be three times

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the height of a triangle be 2x

and base of triangle be 3x

therefore

: Area of ∆ = ½×Base × height

=½× 2x × 3x

= ½ × 6x2

= 3x2

hope it would help you ....
