Answer:

Energy = Power*time

Energy consumed by 100 W bulb per day = 2∗100 Wh

= 0.2 kWh

Energy consumed by 40 W bulbs per day = 4∗40∗4 Wh

= 0.64 kWh

Total energy consumed per day = 0.2 + 0.64 kWh

= 0.84 kWh

Therefore, the energy consumed in 30 days = 30∗0.84 kWh

= 25.2 kWh

Energy and power

Number of 60 W bulb lighted for 5 hours a day = 2

Number of 100W lamp lighted for 2 hours a day =1

Number of 50 W TV running for 8 hours a day = 1

Number of 50 W electric fans works 10 hours  a day = 2

We know that,

Energy= Power\times Time

Electric energy consumed by bulb =2\times 60\times 5=600 Wh=0.6 \ KWh

Electric energy consumed by lamp = 100\times 2=200 Wh=0.2 \ KWh

Electric energy consumed by T.V. = 50\times 8=400 Wh=0.4 \ KWh

Electric energy consumed by electric fans =2\times 50\times 10=1000 Wh=1 \ KWh

Hence total energy consumed by all appliances in a day =(0.6+0.2+0.4+1)\ KWh=2.2\ KWh

Hence 2.2 units of electricity is consumed each day.
