In a thermos flask, conduction and radiation effects are minimized. Convection is not included because convection keeps the temperature in a liquid even (density differnce causes displacement of fluid, thus uniform temperature is achievable).
A thermos flask is used to keep hot liquid hot and cold liquid cold for a long time. Thermos flask consists of double walled glass vessel resting on cork inside the metal or plastic case. The outer surface of its inner wall and the inner surface of its outer wall are silvered. This prevents heat transfer due to radiation
