If A is the area of the right angled triangle and b one of the sides containing the right angle, then find the value of the length of the altitude on the hypotenuse in terms of A and b.

let the triangle beABC , /_ACB =90•

By , pythagoras thm

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

(A)^2=AB^2-(b)^2

A^2=AB^2-b^2

AB=√A^2-b^2

AB=A- b.....square and squareroot are cancelled

AB= A-b
