→ KE= \frac{1}{2}  mv²

  • When kinetic energy of a body is increased 3 times :

→ KE= \frac{1}{2}  m(3v)²

→  \frac{1}{2}  m \: 9v²

→  \frac{KE}{newKE} =  \frac{1}{9}

  • So, KE becomes nine times.
