let AB be the length of the string

and AC = 100 m

and angle abc = 60°

 \sin(60) = \frac{ac}{ab} \\ \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2 } = \frac{10 \sqrt{3} }{ab} \times 10 \sqrt{3 } \\ ab = \frac{10 \sqrt{3} \times 2}{ \sqrt{3} } = 20m \\ therfore \: the \: length \: of \: the \: \\ string \: is \: 20m
