if the line intersects in x axis so y coordinate will b zero.

so,

substituting y=0 in eq. 3x-y-5=0

so 3x-0-5=0

3x=5

x=5/3

therfore the coordinate of pt. are (5/3,0)

If the eqⁿ 3x - y - 5 = 0, then the coordinates of the point are (x, 0). Because on x axis, y coordinate will be zero.

Substitute y = 0 in the eqⁿ 3x - y - 5 =0

3x - 0 - 5 =0

3x = 5

x = 5/3

The coordinates of the point of intersection are ( 5/3, 0).
