  • If a line joining two points M(1, 4)and N(5, 2)

\huge\underline\mathrm{To\:Find:-}

Find the midpoints of the coordinates = ?

\huge\underline\mathrm{SoLution:-}

To find the mid point of the co-ordinates, we use the formula :- \large\frac{x _{1} + x _{2}}{2} , \frac{y _{1} + y _{2}  }{2}

x _{1} = 1 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: y _{1} = 4\\  x_{2} = 5 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: y _{2} = 2

The co-ordinates of the mid-point of the join of (1,4) and (5,2) are

\bf{x = }\large\bf \frac{x _{1} + x _{2} }{2}  =  \frac{5 + 1}{2} </p><p>

\implies\bf{x =} \large{\bf {\frac{6}{2}}}\bf{ = 3}

\bf{y =} \large\bf \frac{y _{1} + y _{2} }{2}  = \frac{4 + 2}{2}

\implies\bf{y =} \large{\bf {\frac{6}{2}}}\bf{= 3}

\large{\boxed{\bf{x = 3}}}

\large{\boxed{\bf{y = 3}}}

Hence, the mid- point is (3,3)

Answer:

\implies The mid - point is (3, 3).

\large\underline\mathrm{Given:-}

  • If a line joining two points M(1, 4)and N(5, 2).

\large\underline\mathrm{To \: find}

  • Find the midpoints of the coordinates?

\large\underline\mathrm{Solution}

  • find the midpoint of the co-ordinate, we used the formula;

\implies (x1 + x2)/2

\implies (y1 + y2)/2

\implies x1 = 1

\implies x2 = 5

\implies y1 = 4

\implies y2 = 2

  • find the midpoints of the join of (1, 4) and (5, 2) are.

\implies x = (x1 + x2)/2 = (5 + 1)/2 = 6/2 = 3.

\implies x = 3.

\implies y = (y1 + y2)/2 = (4 + 2)/2 = 6/2 = 3.

\implies y = 3.

Thus,

The mid - point is (3, 3).
