We have, x + 2y = 8 ,..(i)

(i) When the point is on the X-axis, then put y = 0 in Eq. (i), we get

x+2 (0)=8

⇒ x = 8 Hence, the required point is (8, 0).

(ii) When the point is on the Y-axis, then put x = 0 in Eq. (i), we get

0 + 2y = 8

⇒ y = 8/2 = 4

Hence, the required point is (0, 4).Plotting these points on the graph paper and joining them, we get the graph for y=2.

☆Required Solution :-

We have, x + 2y = 8 ,..(i)

(i) When the point is on the X-axis, then put y = 0 in Eq. (i), we get

x+2 (0)=8

⇒ x = 8 Hence, the required point is (8, 0).

(ii) When the point is on the Y-axis, then put x = 0 in Eq. (i), we get

0 + 2y = 8

⇒ y = 8/2 = 4

Hence, the required point is (0, 4).Plotting these points on the graph paper and joining them, we get the graph for y=2.
