Equate speed.

D1/T1=D2/T2

4/1=10/T2

T2=10/4

Time=2.5 hrs

<b><u><i> Given -</i></u></b>

Distance travelled by boat = 4 km
Time taken = 1 hour

<b><i><u>To find -</u></i></b>

Time taken by boat to cover 10 km
______________________________
<b><i><u>Solution -</u></i></b>

Distance covered = 4 km
Time taken = 1 hour

Hence, speed of car
= distance/time
= 4/1
= 4 km/h

Hence, the speed of boat is 4 km/h

Now,
Speed of boat = 4 km/h
Distance to be covered = 10 km

Hence, time taken
= distance/speed
= 10/4
= 2.5 hours
