Answer:

a + 2b

Note:

★ log(A×B) = logA + logB

★ log(A/B) = logA – logB

★ log(A^m) = m×(logA)

★ log(1) = 0

★ e^(logA) = A

(when base of log is e)

Solution:

Given: a = log5 , b = log3

To find: log45 in terms of a and b

We have ;

log5 = a and log3 = b

Also,

log45 = log(3×3×5)

= log(3²×5)

= log3² + log5

= 2×(log3) + log5

= 2×b + a

= a + 2b

Hence,

log45 = a + 2b
