Given Information:

• Force applied (F) = 14 N

• Area = 14  \sf { {cm}^{2} }

Conversion of units to standard form:

 \sf{ \longrightarrow \: 1 \:  {m}^{2} = 10000 \:  {cm}^{2}  } \\  \\  \sf{ \longrightarrow \: 1 \:  {cm}^{2} =  \dfrac{1}{10000} \:  {m}^{2}  } \\  \\  \sf{ \longrightarrow \: 14 \:  {cm}^{2} =  \dfrac{14}{10000} \:  {m}^{2}  } \\  \\ \sf{ \longrightarrow \: 14 \:  {cm}^{2} =  0.0014 \:  {m}^{2}  }

Now, area = 0.0014 m².

Solution:

By using the formula :

 \sf{ \longrightarrow \: P =  \dfrac{F}{A}  } \\  \\  \sf{ \longrightarrow \: Pressure =  \dfrac{Force}{Area}  }  \\  \\ \sf{ \longrightarrow \: Pressure =  \dfrac{14 \: N}{0.0014 \:  {m}^{2} }  } \\  \\ \sf{ \longrightarrow \: Pressure =  \dfrac{(14 \times 10000) \: N}{14 \:  {m}^{2} }  }  \\  \\ \sf{ \longrightarrow \: Pressure =  \dfrac{140000 \: N}{14 \:  {m}^{2} }  } \\  \\  \longrightarrow  \underline{\boxed { \sf{Pressure = 10000 \:N/ {m}^{2}  }}}  \: \red{ \bigstar}

Henceforth,

  • Pressure produced by him is 10000 N/m² or 10000 Pa or 10 kPa.

Some more information :

  • Pressure is defined as force applied per unit area.

  • SI unit of pressure is Pa ( Pascal ).

  • 1 Pascal = 1 N/m²

  • If the area is less, pressure will be more.

  • If the area is more, pressure will be less.

  • If force is more, pressure will be more.
