If a man applies all his energy to push a heavy rock and the rock doesn't move, is the energy destroyed? If not where does the energy go?

Energy can not be destroyed neither created, it just changes it's form. Then energy provided by the man is used up as heat and also used to form more ATPs in his body by metabolism.

When we push a huge rock, there is no transfer of muscular energy to the stationary rock.

Also, there is no loss of energy because muscular energy is transferred into heat energy, which causes our body to become hot.
