if a man stands on a chair chances of its breaking is more but if a man sit on chair chances of its breaking is less. explain why?

because if a man sits on a chair the force is spread and the weight of legs are also gets apart...In simple lang. * The weights in not on a same place it gets spreads which doesnt cause the chair to break.
On the other hand, If we stand on a it has high chances of breaking up. Just because the force is will be on the same place as we are standing erect!
Bonus: And if we jumped around that chair the breaking of the chair gets doubled up!
