If a man suffering frome AIDS why he is not able to fight off even minor infection

hey man hiv-aids as the name says human immunodeficiency virus(hiv) .it actually triggered the immune system killing. WBC (lymphocytes).thus a person become vulnerable to everysmall infection.common cold may turn to pneumonia.this leads to death of person
