If a man travels at a speed of 30 km/hr , he reaches his destination 10 min. late and if he travels at a speed of 42km/ hr,he reaches his destination 10 min. early. The distannce travelled is ?​

d = 35 km

● Explaination -
Let t be desired time.

If the man travels at speed of 30 km/hr,
d / (30/60) = t + 10
2d = t + 10
2d - 10 = t ...(1)

If the man travels at speed of 42 km/hr,
d / (42/60) = t - 10
10d/7 = t - 10
10d/7 + 10 = t ...(2)

Equating (1) & (2),
2d - 10 = 10d/7 + 10
2d - 10d/7 = 10 + 10
4d/7 = 20
d = 35 km

Therefore, distance travelled must be 35 km.
