If a man wants to colour his room except for the ceiling and floor and length breath height of the room are 2m x 3m x 2.5m, find that total cost if rate of colour is T8/m.

  • Breadth = 2m
  • Height = 2.5m
  • Rate of colouring = Rs 8 per m²
  • Floor and Roof is not coloured .

Since Floor and Roof isn't painted (coloured) So ,

We have to paint only on 4 walls (CSA)

Using the Formula

 \boxed{ \sf{area \: of \: 4 \: walls \: or \: csa = 2(length + breadth) \times height}}

put the values ,

 \rm \mapsto \: csa = 2(3 + 2) \times 2.5 \:  {m}^{2}

 \mapsto \rm \: csa = 2 \times 5 \times 2.5 \:  {m}^{2}

 \rightarrow \underline{ \boxed{ \rm{ \pink{csa = 25 \:  {m}^{2} }}}}

Now ,

 \mapsto \rm \: cost = rate \times area

 \mapsto \rm \: cost =rs \:  25 \times 8 \:

The cost of colouring would be Rs 400 .
