if a men get one mark in in every correct answer and minus 1 mark every wrong answer he solve 36 question and get 18 marks then
Answers
agar men ko I Mark one question pe melt a ha oor 18 question right kiya ha too 18 he marks ha
Lets consider two cases,
CASE 1: the no. of questions answered correctly be denoted by x,
the no. of questions answered incorrectly be denoted by y,
THEN, as per question,
the total no. of questions to be answered is 36,
therefore, x+y=36 ...........(1)
CASE 2:the no of marks given for each correct answer is 1
the no. of marks deducted for every incorrect answer is -1
THEN, v will multiply the no. of correct answers with the no. of marks given and the no. of questions done incorrect with the no. of marks duducted and will equate it with the total marks obtained,
therefore ,x-y=18 . ..........(2)
SOLVING (1) AND (2),
I AM DOING BY ELIMINATION U CAN DO IT BY ANY METHOD U LIKE,
x+y=36
x-y=18
=>2x=52
=>x=26
Putting x in any of the one equation,
x+y=36
26+y=36
y=36-26
y=10
therefore the no. of correct questions=26
the no. of incorrect questions=10
