He will give 9 ltrs of milk by using 3 ltr can 3 times. Then he will take 7 ltrs from yhat. So the customer has 2 ltrs remaining. Then again the milkman will give him 3ltr milk by using 3 ltr can

After solving using ten steps Capacity of 10litre can becomes 5 litres, 7litre can becomes 5litres and 3 liter can becomes 0 litres

Given:

If a milkman has 10 litre of milk. And a costumer wants 5 litre of milk, but the milkman only have 3 litre and 7 litre of measuring cans.

To Find:

To calculate how would the milkman give the costumer 5 litre of milk

Solution:

Pour 3 litres to 3 litre can from 10L can

After, step 1 status of milk cans,

10litre becomes 7 litres milk

3 litres can = 3 litre milk

7litre can = empty

In step 3,

Pour 3 litre milk from 10L can to 3L can,

10 litre can = 4litre milk

3litre can = 3litre milk

7 litre can = 3litre milk

In step 5,

We get,

Pour 1litre milk from 3L can to 7L can

In step 10,

Pour 3litre Milk from 3Lcan to 7L can

Hence, After solving using ten steps Capacity of 10litre can becomes 5 litres, 7litre can becomes 5litres and 3 liter can becomes 0 litres
