K.E. = 1/2 m v^2 where 'K.E.' is the kinetic energy of the body. Momentum is directly proportional to velocity. If the momentum of an object is doubled, but its mass does not increase , then its velocity is doubled. IF momentum of a body is doubled then its kinetic energy becomes 4times it's initial value.
