It would be a fair assumption to make that a country with a large amount of natural resources would be more likely to develop fastest and furthest. This could be assumed because natural resources in a country would be likely to stimulate trade at first within that country, and later to outside countries.

If a nation is rich in resources then it can be developed because if in an economy or in a country having enough resources they can export to countries that needs them and they can use the money for the benefit of the country or nation and with that they can develop the nation with good infrastructures and other available resources provided.
