x25= Remainder =8

x26= Remainder =0

So,

x=25a+8

x=26b+0

Since, there are two equations and three variables :

a=b or the divisors will have to be equal to make this question valid

Therefore,

x=25a+8−(i)

x=26a+0−(ii)

Subtracting (i),(ii)

x−x=25a−26a+8−0

=0=−a+8

=−a=−8 or a=8

Therefore,
