Answer:

Let The number be 100

the,

A number is increased by 20%

So.,

100+20

120

Now again 30%Decreased of 120

So,

120×30/100

36

Nett amount=120-36=84

so,

Decrease= 100-84=16

There is 16% Decrease.

Answer:

let \: the \: number \: be \: 100  \\ then \\ a \: number \: is \: increased \: by \: 20\% \\ now \\ 100 + 20 = 120 \\ now \: again \: 30\% \: decresed \: of \: 120 \\ now \\ 120 \times 30 |100 \\ then \: the \: answer \: we \: got \: is \\ 36 \\ so \: the \: net \: amount \:  \\  =  > 120 - 36 = 84 \\ so \: the \: number \: is \: decrese \: will = 100 - 84 = 16 \\ so \: the \: prcentage \: that \: was \: decresed \: is \: 16\%
