if a number is increased by 20%and then the resulting number is again increased by 20% ,what percent the total increases ?

Suppose that original number is

100%

1st ••• 20℅ increase

100 × 120/100 = 120%

again 20% increase

2nd •••• 120 × 120/100 = 144℅

total increase percentage

144% - 100% = 44%
