That depends on what number is being squared. If thwe units digit of the number is 1 or 9 then the square will have 1 in the units digit. If the units digit is 2 or 8 the square will have 4 in the unit digit. If the number has 3 or 7 in the units digit then the square will have 9 in the units digit. If the number has 4or 6 in the units digit then the square will have 6 in the units digit and 0 as the unit digit will be 0 only as the unit digit in the square also.
