Let x be the number

According to the question number is triple increased by 25

Subtracting-25 from both sides3x + 25 - 25 = 145 - 25

253x = 120

Divide 3 from both sides

both sides3x/3 = 120/3

x = 40

40 is the number when it tripled and increase 25 result is 145
