Let that number be = x

tripled= 3x

decreased by 18= 3x-18

Result 54    3x-18=54

           Collect Like terms

     3x=54+18

3x=72

Divide by 3

x=24.

So the value of 4 times that number will be= 24*4=96

so 30 increased by 96 will be 126

Answer=126
