-2^2=4 so it is not favorable outcome
and so on by this method-1,0,1come under favorable outcome
probability=3/5

hello mate ur ans is here
plz concentrate on the condition x^2<2
then the given numbers are -2,-1,0,1,2
then substitute value of X , then 2^2=4>2 hence both numbers -2,2 doesn't follow the condition, left out numbers are 3 and hence
value of X^2 for -1&1 is same and even 0 hence they follow the condition x^2<2 then no of observations are 5 and possible events are 3 , hence probability is
3/5
