Answer:

The fraction is 9 / 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Let , denominator of fraction = x

then, as given that numerator is 4 less than denominator

so , numerator = x - 4

Now,

numerator on decreasing by 2 will become

( x - 4 ) - 2 = x - 6

Also, denominator on increasing by 2 will become

( x ) + 1 = x + 1

so, As given that on decreasing numerator by 2 and increasing denominator by 1 , the denominator will become twice the numerator

therefore,

→ x + 1 = 2 ( x - 6 )

→ x + 1 = 2 x - 12

→ 1 + 12 = 2 x - x

x = 13

so, we get Denominator = x = 13

now,

Numerator = x  - 4 = 13 - 4 = 9

Therefore,

The fraction will be 9 / 13 .
